When a consultation can help

A consultation can clarify a defined question before a move, IFICI application, asset sale or income decision. It can also examine an existing or transitional NHR position and its Portuguese effects.

  • Before selling an asset or taking a pension. Identify the asset, payment type, residence history, and each relevant jurisdiction before testing any country-specific exit, deemed-disposal, or treaty rule.

If you have a Finanças notice or an approaching or missed deadline, contact us before booking. We confirm the work needed and availability; a booking does not extend the deadline or secure representation.

06

Remote Consultations in English or Portuguese

Calls take place on Google Meet in English or Portuguese. You can join from Portugal or abroad, including before your move.

Taxbordr is based in the Lisbon area. You receive the written review by email and can share it with your home-country accountant. Choose an available call time that works in your time zone.

07

How to book the review

Choose an available time and book the Tax Position Review. After booking, complete the questionnaire and provide the information requested for your question.

For return preparation, see Annual Portugal Tax Return. For an IFICI application with established eligibility, contact us about application support. Contact us first if you have a notice, an approaching or missed deadline, or a question about which service to buy.

08

When Cross-Border Advice Helps

Cross-border advice is useful when the Portuguese treatment must be reconciled with another country’s rules. That can involve residence, pension or investment income, equity compensation, treaty relief and the timing of foreign tax credits.

Taxbordr documents the Portugal-side analysis and, where agreed, coordinates it with your existing adviser. Straightforward filing and wider planning have separate service scopes and fees.

What Clients Say

"English-speaking, quick to reply, and refreshingly direct. Before quoting me anything, he told me which parts of my situation didn't need him at all. That's exactly why I trusted his answer on the parts that did."
